The Woodland Trust are looking for a place to plant a new wood to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee in 2012 – unfortunately, we don’t have any space in South West London but we do have some spectacular trees and woods

Barn Elms late one evening – this wood includes the oldest known Plane in London – the tall tree in the middle

If you have never visited The London Wetland Centre, add it to your list of must sees – it’s a truly exceptional place, especially given how close it is to the centre of one of the worlds major cities, just twenty minutes from Waterloo.
